Oracle Product Owner

The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Oracle Product Owner in London, UK or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office worldwide.

Role Purpose:

The key purpose of this role is to drive the efficiency and continuous enhancement of SCI’s HR Information System, Oracle. Playing a pivotal part in ensuring Oracle’s success, this role will develop the system roadmap for the next 12 – 18 months, leading on the strategy implementation and ensuring it meets organisational need.

This role will combine governance and data quality to provide accurate management information about SCI’s people to support our HR strategy. The role will support in building a data-driven HR department that is run and managed against tangible metrics and service levels, measured by key performance indicators, and provide reliable management information and insight to customers.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential:

  • Experience of working with Oracle
  • Demonstrable analytical and systems thinking skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex issues to both staff and peers
  • Advanced ability in using Microsoft Excel to summarise and graphically represent data. Also experienced in use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent project management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to manage a complex and varied workload; to work effectively under pressure; and to organise and prioritise work to ensure departmental deadlines are met
  • Excellent skills in developing manuals, guidance and tools that are accessible and user-friendly
  • Ability to challenge and negotiate assertively and cooperatively with senior staff

Desirable:

  • Experience in the deployment of IT systems on a large scale
  • Experience working within an INGO
  • Strong experience using SQL (preferably Oracle SQL)
  • Experience using Power BI and OTBI
  • Experience in the design and delivery of face to face and online trainings
  • Can-do attitude and proven track record of successful troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Demonstrate good understanding to data protection considerations in a data and reporting analysis role.

We can offer circa £55,000 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.

This role can be based in London or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
